Part 6

We took the 5a bus to downtown Copenhagen and had lunch at Andersen's Bakery, abutting Tivoli Gardens.

There was plenty of Kunst to see in the streets:

Creatures and critters:

And Hans Christian Anderson.

We decided to begin with the Charlottenborg exhibition.  We were staying in an apartment belonging to a student at the Academy while he stayed at his girlfriend's.  Also an Art student, whose work was actually in the M.F.A. show.

Originally a private mansion, Charlottenborg Palace has been home of the Royal Danish Academy of the Fine Arts since its inception in 1754.  These are from the M.F.A. show:

SS13 Resort by Nanna Abell, 2013
Vermilion Light by Casper Koch Hughes, 2013
Blind Date by Katrine Wurtz Hansen, 2013
And a nice view of Nyhavn.

As we cut across town to our next destination, there was plenty of street Art to shoot:

 in Kongens Have

Frederiksberg was the place to see the Cisternerne - Museum of Modern Glassart.  It was across the street from the zoo.

As the name implies, this museum was built into an old water reservoir. Down underground, with wet floors and some puddles, we found wonderful art.

There was a display by Zuzana Rudavska:

Geometric Nest by Zuzana Graus Rudavska
Big Nest by Zuzana Graus Rudavska

And other Art:

The First Shine of Light by Palo Macho, 2912
by Goran Warff, 2010
by Amelle Bouchet, 2009

And more.  There was a large area with life-size statues of common people of all trades.

Mand fra Finmarken
Fiskerkone fra Falnes Pa Karmoer

There were thick sheets of glass, tiny beads of glass, there were stained glass creations, and other indescribable uses for glass.

Above ground, we found more Kunst:
